“We may even create carefully organized folders filled with material we plan to use someday.
But someday has a terrible attendance record.”
GUILTYYYY 🫣
I’m an avid note taker, but lately, I’ve rarely gone back to expand more on ideas and concepts. Most of the times, it just sits tucked away in my notes app - forgotten half of the time. I’m stoked to begin applying some of these tips! It makes me wonder how many new insights and knowledge I could gain.
For some reason, whenever I read a comment like this, it just really excites me to see that these ideas are resonating with other people and, more importantly, actually helping them.
I think that’s something all of us, whether we’re avid note-takers or not, need to realize. When we come across information that is immediately useful, then we might as well go out and apply it.
But sometimes an idea needs a little longer to sit and simmer in our minds.
And when that happens, we need a way to do the following:
externalize it
put it into our notes
organize it
come back to it
expand on it
elaborate
refine
experiment
execute
So, it’s really great to hear that this sparked something in your mind and made you think about all the ideas you may already have sitting there, waiting to be developed. Keep it up!
