Learning to Learn Well #10 - 23 Life Lessons From Interviewing 23 Authors
Happy Birthday to the BookMattic Best Books Podcast. This newsletter has links to all of the episodes with core takeaways from each one.
Hi,
To those who are new and those who have already subscribed, welcome to the Learning to Learn Well Newsletter. I decided to change the name of this newsletter from Learn With Matt, so in case you were wondering, Learning to Learn Well is still the same newsletter. We will be exploring mental models, metacognition, and other learning and writing tools to help us learn well.
Happy 1st Birthday to My Podcast!
This is the 10th edition of this newsletter and also it’s the edition I’d like to celebrate my podcast’s 1st birthday. BookMattic Best Books Podcast came out in May 2021 and at that time I was pretty skeptical about starting a podcast, partly because I never really listened to podcasts.
But I thought it would be a good chance for me to give even more back to the community and more back to the hard-working authors who have produced so many great books.
Since the podcast’s release, I have interviewed 23 authors (3 episodes of which I have not yet released and one more interview coming at the end of May with Julie Lythcott-Haims the best selling author of three books, Your Turn: How to be an Adult, How to Raise an Adult, and Real American: A Memoir).
I’m so grateful for all the time that these authors have given me to record podcast episodes for the community. One of my favorite things about doing this podcast is having real conversations with the authors.
Get A Chance to Listen
I hope that you really get a chance to listen to some of these episodes that catch your interest as the authors have given so much value in such a short amount of time. You can save the episode and listen to it on your way to work or during your downtime, and I'm sure you will find value in what the authors have to offer you.
Regardless of who I’m interviewing in the future, all authors I’ve interviewed so far have been amazing, and in this newsletter edition, I would like to feature each one by giving one of the best takeaways from each episode. I really hope you enjoy it!
