In my entire career and in personal application, I've never learned more thoroughly than when I needed to be prepared to teach or present on the subject. And it didn't seem to matter what the subject matter was; I was always, always better off for presenting in it.
Yeah it's like we are put on the line and we have to prepare something that other people can understand. We have to put it into simple or clear enough terms. It's almost like it helps us to organize our thoughts which in turn helps us to retain and master the topic.
