Hi Joel, this book is amazing. I haven't even finished it yet but I'm grateful for the time that I have spent with it because it has been extremely worthy and inspiring. By chance have you read The Polymath by Waqas Ahmed?
Well, it's not nearly as good as this one so far but it introduced me to a whole lot of names that I had never even heard of and a lot of their works have been added to my list of books to read about the topic of polymathy and creativity. I recommended just for that fact.
And one more for you if you have not read it yet, please do check out Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson.
I read that book last year and really enjoyed it. I also totally agree on notes; stray thoughts can add up to substantial work.

Excellent.
